There are a lot of updates before the elections are held in the state, the political party which could contest the polls (as per the contested in previous elections), out of the total 147 seats, BJD won 117 seats which is a clear majority without the alliance, Indian National Congress (INC) was left out with only 16 seats which are around 25.7 percent of total votes, BJP won 10 seats, other parties including like Communist Party of India (Marxist) and independent candidates won remaining seats which makes the total figure of 147 Vidhan Sabha seats or the Assembly elections, so this was about the contesting of the political parties, this time the party which was formed in Delhi by Arvind Kejriwal and others named AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) may or may not be contesting the polls.
